He served as an officer in the Queen’s Royal Hussars (The Queen’s Own and Royal Irish) (QRH), a cavalry regiment of the British Army.
Before leaving the Armed Forces in 2014, he served in combat operations both in Iraq and Afghanistan.
It was around the time he left the Armed Forces and decided to pursue a career in acting that he shortened his name to “Alex Brock”.
In August 2014, he made his TV show debut as Young British Officer in an episode titled War Machine of the television historical drama mini-series Our World War.

In June 2022, Alex Brock was seen playing the role of John Lancaster in the science fiction horror drama television series The Midwich Cuckoos.
