She has recalled that she had landed the role of Aashi in Zee TV’s Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein when she used to live near Infinity Mall I in Mumbai. She would go to the place on a regular basis. Somebody had approached her with an offer when her mother had joined, and they were informed that it was for the Dettol ad. They had got thrilled and had done the commercial, soon after which she had got the scope to star in the television show.
Dhawan has managed acting and studies together. She has recollected that her mother had made it clear that Ruhaanika would not be absent from her school for a shooting, for which she would be filming on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only. She has felt blessed that organizers and the acting teams have always co-operated fully. Ruhaanika has added that during her summer vacations, she has been able to shoot regularly and has filmed from around 1 or 2 in the afternoon to 6 or 7 in the evening.
She has relished traveling and has dreamed of visiting many places including America, New York, Florida, Jordan, Grassland, and Antarctica.
Ruhaanika has disclosed that following her hiatus of around 2 years from performing in front of a camera, she had been nervous as well as excited when she again landed the coveted role in the TV show Mere Sai – Shraddha Aur Saburi. She had, initially, been unsure if she would be able to deliver at all, as it had seemed to be a long time since she had acted in front of the camera and a big group of people. Nevertheless, her anxiety had disappeared when she arrived at the sets and it was like she had never been away from acting.
She has taken part in various extracurricular activities along with gymnastics, such as singing, dancing, football, and skating.
She has found South Indian and Rajasthani cuisine to be irresistible.
In January 2023, at the age of 15, Dhawan purchased her first house after a year of house hunting. At that time, she was looking to do interior designing of her house before shifting.
